District 4 is the northwest corner of Denver, starting at Alameda and stretch to the border of the City of Denver. Parts of this district were formerly the Town of Highland, which found Denver to be too dirt and rough for their liking. However, this residential expansion did not mean they did not work in Denver which was across the Platte. Eventually they merged into Denver once promises of improved access across the Platte River were secured.
